About our social commitment
We are proud to announce that in 2023, we initiated a new social responsibility project that reflects our deep commitment to creating a positive impact.
This initiative was inspired by the personal experience of one of our team members, who encouraged us to partner with the Ester de La Torre Villarroel School in Limache. This school, located in a quiet and welcoming area surrounded by nature and near community spaces, became the focal point of our dedication.
Limache, a city in the Valparaíso region of Chile, is about 130 kilometers from Santiago and is known for its fertile lands, where tomatoes with a distinctive flavor and aroma are grown.
At Lighthouse, we consider diversity a fundamental value that promotes respect, collaboration, learning, and creativity. We also strongly believe in the power of education as a crucial factor for the development of individuals’ autonomy and independence, creating a lasting positive impact on families and communities.
The Ester de La Torre Villarroel School serves around 60 children, adolescents, and young adults, ranging from 4 to 24 years old, all of whom have intellectual disabilities. The school is mainly funded through community contributions and state subsidies for special education.
This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to support education and inclusion, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
